Shadowrocket is a paid client for Apple platforms, available only on the App Store. Check your store region, then verify the developer, official icon, and app ID. Prices, system requirements, and purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page.

Buying the app ≠ buying a proxy service. You’ll need your own subscription or server details to use it.

01 / STORE REGION

Storefront and Account Region: Check Your Current Store

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. If you can’t find it, check your Apple ID’s country or region instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. The apps, currencies, and payment methods shown in the App Store depend on the storefront associated with your purchasing account. Your device language, regional format, and physical location don’t determine which storefront that account sees.

The button on this page links to Shadowrocket’s U.S. App Store product page. The /us/ in the URL identifies the storefront for that webpage; it won’t automatically switch your account to the U.S. store. Opening the webpage also doesn’t guarantee that your current account can complete the purchase. After it opens in the App Store on your device, check the product details, price, and account prompts shown there.

Check the Country or Region on Your Device

  1. Open Settings and tap your Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases, then View Account. Complete authentication if prompted.
  3. Tap Country/Region to see which storefront your account uses. The path is Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region.
  4. If you need to change your region, use Change Country or Region on that page and follow the requirements shown by the system.

Changing your country or region may affect your account balance, existing subscriptions, payment methods, or Family Sharing settings. Read the system prompts and make sure you meet the requirements before proceeding. A region change isn’t guaranteed to take effect immediately. Don’t repeatedly change account details just to test whether the app appears, and don’t confirm payment until you’ve checked which account is being charged.

If the App Store says the app isn’t available in your current country or region, note the message and check the account details above. For more on how storefront availability, payment, and restoring purchases relate, see the App Store Guide. Use the current App Store page and system prompts as your reference—not snippets in search results.

02 / IDENTITY CHECK

Verify the Listing: Developer, Icon, and App ID

The app name alone isn’t enough; verify that all three details match. The two images below are official App Store screenshots for reference.

Official Shadowrocket app icon: a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background
Shadowrocket

Shadow Launch Technology Limited

First: Developer Name

Open the product page and check that the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely only on the first search result or assume that an app with a similar name is the same product. Confirm that the product name, developer, and icon all appear together on the same product page.

Second: Official App Icon

The icon should match the official one shown here: a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background. The icon is one way to identify the app, but it doesn’t replace checking the developer and app ID. If a result has a similar name or icon, open its product page and check each detail before paying; don’t rely on a thumbnail in the results list.

Third: App ID

The app ID is 932747118, shown in the App Store web address as id932747118. The page title may vary by language, and the storefront segment may differ, but the app ID should still match. Don’t use a search-results URL or another app’s product page to make a purchase.

The installed app’s interface can help you locate features, but screenshots aren’t proof of purchase. The Home screenshot on the right shows Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and SERVER. The Add Server screenshot shows fields such as Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method. An English interface doesn’t mean anything is wrong; layouts may vary by device and app updates.

After verifying the listing, check the price, compatibility, and purchasing account shown in the App Store. The images in this manual are for reference; they don’t mean server details should already be on your device. The list depends on the configuration you add or enter yourself.

Add Server: Match each field to your own server details; don’t copy settings from a screenshot.
03 / IPHONE

iPhone: Purchase, Install, and Open for the First Time

On your iPhone, open the App Store product page linked here. After verifying the three details, check Compatibility and the current price. System requirements are as listed on the App Store page. If your device doesn’t meet the requirements, resolve the compatibility issue first; finding an app with the same name won’t change the requirements for the original app.

For your first purchase, confirm the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases, the amount, and the currency before following the prompts to authenticate. If you’ve purchased the app before, look for it under Purchased in your App Store account. Once the download icon shows progress, wait for installation to finish, then open Shadowrocket from your Home Screen or App Library.

Installing the app doesn’t mean it’s ready to connect

After installing the client, add your own subscription or server details. Use Add Server in Home to add a server. If entering details manually, make sure Type, Host, Port, and the other fields match your existing information. Buying the app doesn’t generate these details, and you can’t replace them with an arbitrary address. Subscription details may include credentials; use them only in apps and on devices you trust.

The first time you enable a connection, iOS may ask to add a VPN configuration. This system permission lets the app create the required network configuration on your iPhone; it isn’t another purchase. Make sure you initiated the action in Shadowrocket, then authenticate as prompted. If you deny permission, the connection may not work. You can return to the app and try again when needed, following any system prompts.

After importing, check the selected server, Global Routing, and connection status in Home. Config refers to configuration mode, Proxy to proxy mode, and Direct to direct mode. Understand these modes in the context of your own configuration; don’t keep switching them just to change the status. For the full import, connection, and verification steps, see the User Guide.

If the purchase succeeds but the download stalls, check the App Store message, available storage, and your current network connection. This is an app download issue, separate from server configuration that hasn’t been imported yet. Finish installing the app before setting it up.

04 / IPAD

iPad: Download Again with the Same Purchasing Account

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. If you’ve already bought it with an Apple ID, find it under Purchased in the App Store account on your iPad and download it again. System requirements and purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page. Check the account used for Media & Purchases, not just the account name at the top of Settings.

If the product page on your iPad shows a price even though you’ve bought Shadowrocket, don’t confirm another payment right away. First check that the current purchasing account matches the account used for the original purchase, then look for Shadowrocket under Purchased. If the original purchase was made in another storefront, check the account and region currently in use and follow the App Store prompts.

The iPad’s screen differs from the iPhone’s, so lists, navigation, and settings may be arranged differently. When following a guide, use labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings to find your way; buttons don’t have to appear in exactly the same place as in a screenshot. The two official screenshots on this page show feature entry points, not a fixed layout for every device.

Your purchase history lets you download the app again, but it doesn’t mean your configuration has been copied to another device. After installation, check your server list, current configuration, and connection permission. Import your own subscription or server details as needed. If you use a saved configuration, confirm its contents and suitability; don’t assume the new device is set up just because the old one was connected.

05 / PURCHASE RECOVERY

New Device or Reinstall: Find Your Purchase, Then Restore Configuration

When you get a new device or reinstall the app, first use the original purchasing Apple ID to find it. You don’t need to pay again to redownload an eligible purchase under the same account. Check purchase eligibility, current storefront availability, and compatibility with the new device separately. Purchase availability is as listed on the App Store page.

  1. Open the App Store, tap the account icon in the upper-right corner, and make sure you’re signed in with the original purchasing account.
  2. Go to Purchased and look for Shadowrocket. Depending on your system version, this may be under Apps or the account’s app list.
  3. Verify the product details, tap the redownload icon, authenticate as prompted, and wait for installation to finish.
  4. When you first open the app, check whether your configuration has been restored. If not, import your saved subscription or server details and verify the connection permission again.

Can’t Find the App Under Purchased? Check Your Records

First, confirm which Apple ID made the purchase, then check that account’s purchase history. The account currently signed in on your device may not be the one used to pay; a payment confirmation also doesn’t prove that the App Store is currently using the same account. If you hid the app, check Hidden Purchases too. If you see a region-unavailable message, consider both the original and current store regions.

If the product page shows a price again, stop before paying and check the account and purchase history instead of making another purchase to test whether you can restore it. Keep your receipt and any system messages in case you need to contact Apple Support. Don’t share account details or full payment information in public discussions.

Restore the App and Configuration Separately

The App Store restores your eligibility to download the app. Subscription URLs, server settings, configuration files, and connection permissions are separate; check your own backups or existing records. After importing, verify the configuration source and selected item before testing the connection. Don’t assume that your routes or rules have been restored just because the app has downloaded.

Check the current App Store page and Family Sharing settings to see whether the app is eligible for Family Sharing. A family member’s ability to get the app is separate from using configuration saved on another device. Don’t assume that joining a family group makes every purchase shareable; check the eligibility of this specific item first.

06 / ONE-TIME PURCHASE

Price and One-Time Purchase: The App Fee Covers the Client Only

Shadowrocket is a one-time purchase on the App Store, with a U.S. store reference price of $2.99. Other storefronts show local currencies. The actual price, currency, and purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page. Before confirming payment, rely on the purchase details shown on your device—not a currency conversion of the U.S. reference price on this page.

One-time purchase describes how you pay for the client; there’s no monthly app usage fee. Keep the original purchasing account so you can redownload the app from Purchased if you get a new device or reinstall it. App updates are available through the App Store. Check your account’s updates list or use the automatic app updates setting on your device; available updates are listed in the store.

Keeping the costs separate helps avoid two common misunderstandings. If Home doesn’t show your server after you buy the client, check whether you’ve imported your configuration; that doesn’t mean the purchase failed. If an existing proxy service changes, check its status and settings; you don’t need to buy the client again.

To check whether you’ve bought the app, look at Purchased and your App Store purchase history. To troubleshoot a connection, first make sure the app is installed, then check your configuration, selected server, Global Routing, and system permissions. Payment and connection issues have different troubleshooting steps; identify which part is affected before trying anything again.

Before confirming a purchase, check the developer, icon, app ID, and current price once more. Follow the payment options shown in your App Store account for payment prompts. This official manual explains the steps and fields; your account’s transaction history is the record of the actual purchase.

PURCHASE / FAQ

Shadowrocket Download and Purchase FAQs

First identify whether the issue is store availability, payment, installation, or in-app configuration, then check the relevant step.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines which storefront you see. Check the current store under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region, then open the App Store product page linked here. The “us” in the link won’t change your account’s region.

What should I check if the product page opens but the download won’t complete?

Note the exact App Store message, then check your store region, payment method, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. If you’ve already paid, check your account’s purchase history and Purchased before trying again. System requirements are as listed on the App Store page.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new iPhone?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket under App Store → Account → Purchased and download it again. You usually won’t need to buy it again. Restoring the app and restoring its configuration are separate steps; you’ll still need to add your own subscription or server details on the new device. Purchase availability is as listed on the App Store page.

Can I install Shadowrocket on my iPad if I bought it for iPhone?

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. On your iPad, use the same purchasing Apple ID under Media & Purchases to download it again from Purchased. Check the App Store page for system requirements and purchase availability; app configuration must be checked separately.

Can I install Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section on the App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check availability in the App Store on your device. System requirements, device compatibility, and whether the purchase is universal are as listed on the App Store page.

How do I follow the guide if the app is in English?

Look for the interface labels Home, Global Routing, Add Server, Config, and Settings. The screenshots on this page are official English App Store screenshots; an English interface doesn’t mean anything is wrong. Verify the listing by checking the developer, official icon, and app ID. See the user guide for step-by-step instructions.
